Charlotte Ballet Academy
Innovation is unlimited in this fan-favorite series which includes two world premieres and the Charlotte premiere of our Artistic Director’s own work. We welcome for the first time Jennifer Archibald, founder and director of the Arch Dance Company in New York City and Cincinnati Ballet’s resident choreographer. Also featured will be the 2021 Guggenheim Fellow Helen Simoneau, whose dance-making explores proximity, intimacy and personal space. And making its Charlotte debut is Artistic Director Alejandro Cerrudo’s Silent Ghost, a piece that captivated audiences in 2018 at Pacific Northwest Ballet.
